Auburn, Ala. - Next Stop, The North Pole! Join Auburn Parks and Recreation and the Auburn Arts Association (AAA) for the Polar Express on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Kiesel Park. Tickets will be available for purchase on Wednesday, Nov. 6 and Thursday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center (JDCAC). The cost is $10/person (under 7 must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder; under 2 FREE with an adult ticket holder). A limited number of tickets are available and last year's event sold out, so be sure to purchase tickets early!
Children ages 12 and under are invited to help Auburn Parks and Recreation recreate this magical ride to the North Pole on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Kiesel Park. The “train” will depart at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Activities include arts & crafts, sweets & treats, an inflatable, story time, and much more! Children are encouraged to wear their favorite holiday pajamas while they participate in indoor and outdoor activities. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be canceled and tickets will be refunded.
Proceeds from ticket sales support the AAA's art education programs at the JDCAC. Community art education programs such as Auburn CityKids, Adventures in Art, and the Auburn Studio Project are made possible, in part, by support from the AAA.
