Auburn, Ala. - Lee County has informed the City of Auburn that construction on the Chewacla Creek Bridge Replacement Project is expected to begin on Monday, January 21. During the six month construction period, the bridge will be closed to through traffic. In addition, Society Hill Road from Pierce Chapel Road to Moore's Mill Road will be closed. Construction and detour signs will be posted to direct motorists. Please refer to the Road Closing and Detour Map at www.auburnalabama.org to view specific road closures and detours.
