Auburn, Ala. - Each year the Water Works Board of the City of Auburn (AWWB) produces and distributes its annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). The purpose of this report is to notify all customers about the quality and safety of their drinking water. Additionally, the CCR provides customers with information about what contaminants, if any, are in their drinking water and how these contaminants may affect their health. CCR’s also provide the AWWB with an opportunity to educate its customers about its water sources and the treatment and delivery methods used to ensure compliance with State and Federal laws. In past years a paper copy has been delivered to every customer. This year the AWWB will be utilizing electronic delivery to directly notify each customer about where to access a digital copy of the CCR and how to request a paper copy if they desire one. Paper copies will continue to be available at the Bailey Alexander Water and Sewer Complex and various other public facilities. Digital copies of the 2012 CCR can be viewed at www.auburnalabama.org/wrm/CCR.
This public notice is meant to inform you of this change in delivery method. If you have any questions, please contact the Water Resource Management Department at 334-501-3060.
