Auburn Public Library

By signing up for this free service you will receive by email and/or text:

Almost Overdue Reminders
You will receive a notice 3 days before your books become overdue. This notice reminds you that it is almost time to return your books or renew them. You can even renew books by replying to our email or by telephoning us.

Held Item Reminders
For held item reminders you will receive a notice in your email, instead of a phone call, when a book you have placed on hold becomes available.

First Overdue Notices
Instead of receiving the 1st overdue notice (7 days overdue) by regular mail, you will receive it by email/text. Subsequent overdue notices will be sent by regular mail.

Fine Notices
You will receive notices of any unpaid fines outstanding.

To take advantage of this free service, you can sign up...

By Email
You will need to include:
Your name
Your card number
Your preferences of notification (email and/or text)

We will also need your email address and/or your ten digit cell phone number including the name of your carrier (Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.)

 Send to:
libcirc@auburnalabama.org

Or by Telephone or in Person:
Just give us a call or come in. You will need your library card and your email address and/or cell phone number including the carrier.

Our phone number is: (334) 501-3190

Or by Changing Your Account Preferences Online:
Log in to your account online:  login
Enter your library card number and your password (originally the last four digits of your telephone number)
Click on "Contact Information and Preferences" then:

Enter:
1. Your Email address (if you want email notification)
2. Your 10 digit cell phone number (if you want text notification)
3. Choose your preference from the drop box.

(Note: the preference of receiving both Email and Text notices together is not listed as an option in step 3. Don't worry, just choose "email" and if you have entered your cell phone number in step 2, you will receive notices by both methods.)

You can always change back if you do not like the service.
