Qualifications: Must be an Auburn resident, must not be a City Council member, must be a person of good moral character, must have obtained a high school diploma or its equivalent, must not be employed by that city board of education, must not be serving on the governing board of a private elementary or secondary educational institution, must not be on the National Sex Offender Registry or the State Sex Offender Registry and must not have been convicted of a felony. | Section 16-11-2 of the Code of Alabama |
