Snowflakes & Sweaters Winter Learning Challenge

The Auburn Public Library invites everyone to take the Snowflakes & Sweaters Winter Learning Challenge!

The challenge? Read or listen for at least 1,000 minutes.

The journey begins December 1 and ends January 31.

Participating is simple:

  • Register at auburnpl.beanstack.org or download the Beanstack Tracker app to any smartphone or tablet.
  • Read or listen for at least 1,000 minutes during the challenge.
  • Log your reading & activities via Beanstack.
  • Complete the challenge to earn a T-shirt or hoodie (while supplies last). BONUS Library Card Sign-up Month Prize: To celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month, one person who registers during the month of September will receive a prize package!

The challenge is not just for kids--everyone can participate. You do not need a library card to participate.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless! Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, toddler and/or preschooler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yes you can repeat books!) before your child starts kindergarten. Attending a library story time counts as books read, and attendance can be logged for an activity badge! Use the Beanstack Tracker app to track your reading, and look out for your completion prize from the Auburn Public Library!

Participating is simple:

  • Register at auburnpl.beanstack.org or download the Beanstack Tracker app to any smartphone or tablet.
  • Read 1,000 books before your child starts kindergarten & earn prizes along the way.
  • Log your reading via Beanstack to complete the challenge.
