    The Auburn and Opelika parks and recreation departments held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Auburn/Opelika Skate Park Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. The skate park is located at the Pines Crossing Golf course, 900 Indian Pines Drive, in Auburn. The ribbon cutting ceremony was conducted by Auburn Mayor Ron Anders and Opelika Mayor Gary Fuller.

    The Auburn/Opelika Skate Park is open every day from sunrise to sunset. On Saturday mornings the skate park is reserved for remote control cars from sunrise until noon.
